My Personal Bread Recipe

This is a recipe for a Basic Bread, created by ME! :)
You can modify it as needed.

Ingredients:
3 cups All-Purpose Flour (For wheat add 1 cup wheat and 2 cups white)
1 1/2 Tbls. Sugar (or honey as a substitute)
1/2 Tbls. Salt
2 Tbls. Vegetable Oil (or Olive Oil as a substitute)
1 package Yeast (or 3 tsp.)
1 1/4 cups water (cool)

This recipe makes 1 loaf.
Let rise once in the mixing bowl. It usually takes about 1 hour. Punch down and then roll out and place into greased pan. Let rise again for approx. 30 min. to 1 hour.
Bake in oven at 425* for 25-30 minutes.

Simple and flexible. Do you ever use a breadmaker or KitchenAid for the kneading? How lazy am I?!

This is almost exactly like the recipe my mom and I have used for years and it is, indeed, a good set of proportions. Everyone who has used our recipe has been successful, and I would imagine this one is the same way. :) (You can probably decrease the salt a tad if you like, as ours has only half that much to one loaf and works fine.)

Yes, this can actually be used with a breadmaker. I have a Bosche Compact mixer that I use to mix my bread dough. :)
As far as the salt, I'm kinda partial to salty foods. lol. But yes, could def. be decreased! It is an awesome recipe...tweaked exactly to the way our family likes it.
Thanks for the comments ladies!

okay, I love this recipe but when it comes to my pans I can't win. I use my bread machine to mix the dough and cook it in the oven. If I put all the dough into one pan, it spills onto the handles and makes the bread hard to slice. So today I divided the loaf into two pans and after an hour of raising, I have two small loaves. Anyway I can doulbe the recipe in my bread maker to get 2 big loaves?
